I have a 01 f250 and I want to install a leveling kit. What kits use new front springs? And give you a true 2.50" inch lift? I dont want to use the shackle type.
Assuming you have a V-10 since you posted here, I went with the Rancho "Gas" springs. They are one of the few companies that make a gas engine spring, most are for diesels. I got 2.25 inches of lift out of them.
I bought a 2.5" kit from a company called JackIt. They advertise it on their website as their kit. Turns out it was a Tuff Country kit. It consisted of a pack of 5 leaves that got added to the stock pack. They recommend that you install all 5 leaves w/ a V10 or a diesel and only 4 if you have a V8.
I'm happy w/the kit as it also included a fairly HD trac bar bracket and new u-bolts. I added Bilstein shocks to complete the package.
bigskymt, I don't remember how much it was. I bought it from and had Les Schwab do the install.I think Summit Racing has them or Rocky Mountain, or a local for you to help with shipping. I like the kit fine. I did ask a lot of questions to difernt mfg on there spring rates and most were for the heavier diesels, that's why I went with the Rancho gas spring. I also bought a Fabtech adjustable trac bar when they did the install. The installer said it made the install a breeze since he didn't have to jack the front end over to get the trac bar bolts to line up.

I gained just over 2.5" now that it's settled.

How wide are your stock wheels? What size are those tires? Looks great.
Thanks for the kudos guys!! My stock wheels are 16x7. The tires are 315/75R16 which translates to a 35x12.2 or so. By the manufacturer recommendations, I should be running at least an 8" wide wheel, but I needed tires bad, and wheels aren't in the cards until spring. They do rub at full lock to the left but I'm sure once I change the wheels, it will alleviate that. Thanks again for the kind words!!
