For what I know, the old style F350 ended in '97, and the new Superduty came out in early/mid '98 as a '99 model. To my knowledge, there were no '98 F350's....
Correct, it is a fun fact no '98 F250 or F350's exist, F250LD's are the only thing they made and they are just glorified F150's with a bit better suspension and axles. Most refer to the box style '97 F350's as HD (heavy duty), since the F250 is a LD and of course the '99+ are SD (super duty).
