Tire size help!
Original tires were 235/75 15's. The tires on it now are 31X10.5/15's.
I understand the metric sidewall graffiti, but what do the other numbers mean? Specifically, how tall are the 235's compared to the 31's?

The 235/75/15 are about 28.88 inches tall...the width are 235mm and the sidewall height is 75% of the 235.
Converted 235mm = 9.252 inches
Calculated... 2(9.252* 0.75) + 15 = 28.88 inches (two sidewall heights plus the rim)
Thus you have about 2.12 inches different in height between the two tires.
Hope this helps
