You can increase your capacity by adding springs, I can not tell you how many springs to add though.. The other side of adding springs though, you will increase the height of your back end...
I don't know what year truck you have, but I'm thinking if you add and "additional" 2500 you'll exceed the axle rating when loaded to the new capacity.
I've got a 3" Tuff Country Single Add-A-Leaf, Friday, I Drove from Birmingham AL. to South East GA. 467 miles with 5,559#s of Shingles. One more Sq. @ 425#s per Sq. and I would have had to use a Trailer.
I have a 2006 F-250 2 wheel drive. I use it for power washing, I tow a 7000 lb trailer for the winter, but in summer I'd like to place a 300 gal water tank and pressure washer in the bed, and not have to tow the trailer.
300 gal of water will be about 2500 lbs, the pressure washer will be about 1000 lbs, accessories another 500...
I'm not sure what all the numbers mean, regular cab, 137.0 WB Can someone tell me how much weight I can haul?
06 F-250 3.73 axle ratio, reg cab 2 wheel drive
Does this mean I can tow up to 9100 lbs, plus carry 3200 lbs?

If the water tank is in the front of the bed and only came to the axle I think you would be fine with some airbags or add-a-leafs. I have hauled 4000lbs before with out any help and it was ok not the best but ok, so with the airbags it should be ok. Just make sure that your tires are E rated. Yea Ford says 3200lbs of cargo, but the axle weight is alot more than that and the front would be helping as well if the tank is in the front of the bed. so with some help you would be fine. IMO I would and have done it.

What is the GVWR as said on the safety compliance sticker on the door? Take this number minus actual weight and this is what you can add to the vehicle for weight.
The airbags springs kits etc, will help keep the vehicle level as to not look like your carrying alot of weight.
Well it depends on how your state laws are. Some states look at the sticker on the door, and some on the weight rating of your license plate(that is how ILLINOIS is) You want to pay for a 12,000 gross plate you can weight 12,000. Just don't weight 12,001.
