Quick Fix...ford Tempo

I have an old 88 ford tempo....Although it still runs and drive good, I have difficulty keeping it to where I can get the doors open....The problem is the little ring attached to the ouside door handle has broken....most of it is still there, but the lever that goes into it that operates the inside handle will not stay in.....Outside of a new handle, does anyone have a quick fix....Help is needed in this matter....Thanks, nomadic

Chain the doors shut,, go in Duke boys style and enter it in the first bomber class race at the local speedway. Problem solved. lol

i assume your talking about the rod... you can get little spring clips that'll slip over the rod and hold it in place on the door handle from the "help!" section at any discount auto parts store.
