the ticking is back

hello all i know i have talked about my ticking sound in my diesel, in past post, well i have ran the cleaner in the fuel everytime i get fuel and had the drive shaft rebuilt and blanced, and i have changed the oil, and add lucas to it. then she stop her ticking done no more, well i had to drive 86 miles to a firends house and pick up a 86 f 250 ext cab 460, loaded down, and total weight is around 13,000 pounds, trailer is over 3000 itself, well no ticking no sound what so ever, then when i got it loaded down and head the 86 miles back, she ticked loud. she never got weak or slowed down much hit a hill and she climbed it no problems, done an awsome job, will only own a diesel here on out. but the ticking is a pain in my side. well i got her home un hooked the trailer and parked her in the driveway pluged her up and got up started her this morning no ticking has nto tick anymore. the darn thing is a puzzling me to death i know it cant be anything major or she would have came a part a long time ago and onthe haul back. the only thing i can think of is a exhaust leak, and when the exhaust got hot on the haul the pipe swelled and i got a leak. but i am no expert on this. any one have a clue?

I would have guessed exhaust leak too.... have you checked the engine mounts. Is it a slow, intime with engine or fast.....ticking. Check the #8 injector line and the accellerator wire are they touching.....wire should have some foam cover on it where they touch.
