Hard starting when warm
Any ideas?

If it cranks slow, it could be the starter. Old starter + heat = slow cranking.
More than likely, you have a fuel pump and/or fuel pressure regulator going bad. Try this: the next time your truck is warmed up, and you expect it to give you a hard time in starting, cycle the key to the "on" position (do not crank the engine). Turn it off. Cycle it back to "on" (still don't crank the engine). Turn it off. Cycle it on again, this time cranking the engine. If it starts right up, you're having a fuel pressure problem (Cycling the key on and off runs the pump several times, building up pressure in the lines to allow the quick start. If you had good pressure to start with, the second or so of the key being in the "on" position before you'd normally crank it would be sufficient.) If this doesn't make any difference, try to watch your tailpipe when the truck does fire. If it kicks out a puff of black smoke after it finally does start, suspect your ignition coil or possibly your ignition control module (they could be going bad, with the engine heat soak causing a failure when warm). Hope this helps!
