E4OD rebuild status?

E4OD rebuild status?
Crawling around under my truck today trying to guess about the rebuild status of my transmission. When I bought the truck from a Stealership, it had previously had a 5th wheel mount in the bed. I assume it was used for towing! duh!, The truck runs and shifts good etc, I found a B &M shift improver I will be getting later in the week, as I will be doing some towing later on, in the 6000 lb range. What I found was the date, s/n tag on the left rear of the tranny has been painted over, with silver laquer I think, and no oringinal info is readable, so this tells me its been out or repalaced, the torque coverter is bolted to the flex plate with 4 studs, nuts have rounded edges, so it looks like its been out before, and HAS a drain plug, but the TQ is painted or powder coated black. Truck has been in Souther B.C. its whole life.
So does anyone have any comments about what the build status of this tranny may be, given the very LIMITED info I have been able to aquire??

250,000 km on truck, serviced the transmission about 8000km ago with filter and fluid,when I bought the truck, was "clean" with only normal amount of black sediment. No writting or stickers on the PCM. I've long ago adjusted the FILP, the truck runs great, shifts are clean and no problem, just want to keep it that way. The B&M shift plus is to make sure I have good clutch pressure when it comes to towing.
