throttle spacers

throttle spacers

Has anyone used a throttle spacer? Do they increase power AND mpg? If so what brand do you suggest.

You will not see a measurable gain in power. You'd be wasting your time and money on something like this.

When combined with exhaust, intake, and tuner you will notice some increase in throttle response. It's not much at all so its up to you whether or not you think it is worth it. Every little bit helps for me.

Poweraid

I installed the poweraid with my airaid cold air intake. It gave a slight increase but the hi pitch whistle which sounds like a vacume leak. I just could not take it I contacted the company directly and returned it for a refund.

wrobo23 - yeah, exactly man.

If you like you truck to have a high pitch whistle, then by all means, go ahead and buy one.

K&N has a throttle body spacer with their cold air kit and it does the exact same thing. Needless to say, I ripped it off and got my money back. Nothing is more annoying than a $40K truck with a whistle. If I wanted that, I'd bought a Dodge...

Just my opinion, I could be wrong...
