Turn signal Brake problem

Turn signal Brake problem
I have a 79 f250 My driverside rear brake and turn signal does not work.
drivers side front turn signal works
Bulb is good tried on other side
Taillights do work
Interior indicators work
Passenger side rear brake and turn signals works
Looks as if at some point someone did a slice and dice job to hook the 7 way trailer connector up
I traced a yellow and black to a connector junction behind the bumper Thats where the splice was made so i unscrewed the wire nut and checked there for power with a test light nothing
On the other side of this junction there are 4 brown wires didnt know if i could cut one and just jump the junction? I didnt know which one might control that so i didnt want to take chances. Are there any other places closer to the cab which i might be able to check or maybe splice in a new wire to run back?

rear brake lights ?
There aren't any Front brake lights
Check the GREEN wire
Brown is running lights (Tail, & License plate)
Black is side markers
Red is the BU light
Green -Left TS
Yellow Black - Right TS

If its a break in the wire repair it with one of the wire crimps that shring around the wire you will never have a problem again.Dont use one of the blue scotch lock connectors,they corrode after a few months.
