Almost 2 months ago I ordered a new center section for my bronco. They say they aren't accepting paypal, they're having problems with it. They want a 100 deposit check and to do COD. I figure its legit because they got recommended by a few on FTE, so I send the deposit. As soon as he gets deposit he says paypal is back up and asks for the rest of the money, I send because paypal has the buyer protection stuff. He sends the money back saying I sent to soon.
Now I tell them that I'm canceling the order because I found something locally to replace it. Right after I send this email out he responds to an email that I sent him 2 weeks ago asking what the status is and tells me its done and ready to ship. Now he wants to charge me 100 MORE in labor and 92 dollars restocking fee. HE ASKED ME TO SEND HIM 192 MORE DOLLARS! WTF!! What can I do to get my money back?
anyone in garrison, KY want to pay these ****heads a visit for me?
so you're out $100? i'd back out and take the $100 loss ONLY b/c you decided to back out. i dont blame you i would too! it sounds to me he isnt being honest b/c he suddenly comes up with your product and is ready to ship!
I would understand taking 100 dollar loss - but he made no mention of it being a non refundable deposit and it took him nearly 2 months to complete it (and I'd bet that 100 dollars if I told him I changed my mind and decided to take it, it wouldn't be ready to ship.) And on top of that I had to email someone else to get him to look at his email to even get a response every time I emailed him.
I'm still in shock that he asked me for 192 dollars more. Thats 292 dollars for doing absolutely nothing.

HEY... i didnt mean it as in just let him have your $100! see what you can do to get it back, what i was saying is that since you backed out and deposits are implied as being non-refundable dont be surprised when you are out $100! but heck ya, call him up and see whats the 411, yo!
Well, the only reason I sent him a deposit is because I didn't trust them. They wanted me to mail a check for full payment and I didn't feel comfortable doing that, so we agreed on 100 deposit and then COD. Non of this would've happened if they had paypal or CC services up when I ordered.
NEVER NEVER NEVER deal with a company that doesn't have credit card services man. If they don't do credit cards, and they don't have security features to protect the customer, then don't do business with them.
