Diffy howl
Hi guys, Recently purchased 04 F-350 6.0 cc 4x4 through Ford dealer. Recently used 4x4 for bad highway conditions and noticed that there was a howl coming from the front diffy (seemed to be louder on driver side). Have to admit that I did not try 4-high at highway speeds before buying truck but did test functionallity at low speeds. No clunks or vibration at low speed. I have owned other 4x4 in the past and this is the first time I have ever had one howl. My question is, is this fairly normal for this truck or should I be heading back to the dealer for repairs. P.S. howl seems to go away when accel. or under load, it is only noticable when coasting or constant no load condition. Thanks in advance.
