03 Expy..upgrading radio...

Greetings People,

Got a 03 Expy..XLT. Came with am/fm cassette/single CD player

Upgrading to..

Stock (Ford) am/fm stereo 6-CD changer.

Just a simple question.....where and/or how to I get the dashboard off. I wanna make this a simple pull...install..put together job. No other changes to be done.

Rmove radio first. Inside radio opening are two fasteners, remove them. The dash face then pull off (it's help on with clips) You don't need to pull the dsh fsce to change the radio to another Ford unit.

Okay ...let's start again.....HOW do you remove the radio. There are no holes...no handles. Do remove the center console and push it out? There's nothing there to PULL with.

I haven't worked on an Expy lately, but I believe you have to remove 2 bolts from the main cluster cover. They are located in the top section of the panel in front of the speedometer cluster. After those are removed, you can pull the entire face panel off. After that, you will see the mounting bolts on the bottom of the radio that hold it in place.
