Speakers

I am wanting to add some speakers to my 94 f150 and also replace my stock units as I think they are about shot. So two questions. I would like to keep them in the stock location. Behind the seat I plan to build a storage box and will add maybe two 6x9 and maybe two subs( not very big)? Maybe an mild amp too. I am not so much looking for volume as I am quality. I really dont know much about systems and would like some advice. I do have an older aftermarket Jenson cd player but dont know how much longer it will last. So I am open to suggestions on brand, what to buy, and wiring and such. The amp would probly be about last on the list. can I keep the factory wiring and then just add for the addational speakers in the back? I would like some desent stuff but I am in school and can not afford anything to over the top. So please offer sujustions on lay out, wiring, parts, etc. Thanks

stereos are built around the amp and head unit(cd player) buy a decent deck (i have 2 jvc w/remote a hundred bucks a piece for). Toss the idea of the 6x9's worst speakers for sound quality and more speakers dont make for a louder or better sounding system unless you want to pay big bucks for processors and multiple amps. Now for speakers go to a stereo shop(NOT WAL MART) and tell them what you have and ask mid level speakers that will fit factory slots and use the money u saved on 6x9's and buy a subwoofer and intergrated amp(10's sound good all around)I like the sound of sealed box its more concert like than ghetto boom-boom of ported boxes. I just installed a system like this for about $400 doing all the wiring myself.
