Question Service Manual

I am looking for a service manual for my 97 F150. I don't really need information on rebuilding a transmission, but more general maintenance. Anyone have any ideas? I see these service manual CD's on ebay for a couple of bucks. Are these any good?

I have always like the Haynes manual myself. Available at most parts stores.

Hi and welcome to the forum

The real Ford shop manuals are meant to be used by Ford trained technicians. Depending on your knowlegde and skill level they may be too advanced for you.
For the basics and less in-depth repairs you might be better off with a Haynes or Chiltons manual which parts stores sell.

Thanks for the info. A full shop manual would be information overload.
