i think on the right truck, it'll look very neat. stock set-up/motor? i think it'll look like what a ricer does with 100 decals - crap. just my opinion.
some truck magazine out now (or last month) did a write up on this - install seems very easy/straight forward. if you do end up throwin some bills away, please post the pics.
Alright talked me out of it, buzz kills. Reminded me of the Mustangs they had out a couple years back with the shaker hoods.
Another question. Exhaust..... yes it's been covered numerous times but I've narrowed it down to three choices. Bassani, Borla or Corsa. Price is close on all depending on where you order. I'm looking for a nice sounds outside but no drone inside the cabin. I travel sometimes between North Carolina and Pennsylvania and don't want to go nuts listening to the drowning espically with the kids in the back watching a movie. I've found sound clips from all three but want some real input from people that have them. Mainly dealing with the interior noise cruising through town or on the highway.
lol.. sry for the "buzz kill" but i think we may have saved you from a silly mod my buddy has a borla exhaust on his '04 Screw... swears by it (he's out of state for the time being, so I don't know what it sounds like). I can't recall ever hearing anything bad about them either.
Borla has been my first choice for a while but I've been reading more and more about the bassani and Corsa so now I'm stumped. Like I said my biggest concern is the interior noise. The audio clips on all three sound good from the outside.
After the exhaust I'll be slooking into cold air kits. I hope to have these two things done this year then next spring I would like to look into the Edge.
Airborne,
Just installed a borla on my '06 Screw FX4 this weekend. Could not be happier! As for the interior noise, it has a nice light rumble around town and you cannot hardly tell the difference from stock with the higher RPMs at speed. I am very impressed with the system and would highly recommend it to you.
