Does it read right while sitting still? Could be a sinking float, or a wire grounding out or a bad gauge, or a bad connection on the float arm, or a totally different wiring problem. Get us a little more info on when exactly it's happening, is it affected by temp? does it change on a grade?
My fuel Guage always reads something different while I'm driving any ideas?
Yes...do you mean it's fluctuating? That's usually caused by a faulty CVR = Constant Voltage Regulator that regulates juice to the gauges. When bad, the fuel and sometimes the temp gauges fluctuate wildly.
However, if the vehicle is from the late 1980's and up (Y'all didn't give the year), there's NO CVR. And for that matter there may be no replaceable float on the gas tank sender/pump.

sounds like a sinking float- I paid 80 bucks at the dealer for a new one, and it took about 3 hours for me to switch it out. most of the time was getting 22 gallons out- since I did not know how much fuel was in there. taking the bolts out of the skid plate was a chore too!
anyway the old float was about twice the weight of the new one.
It sounds like you have good electrical connections- it maybe time for a new float.
It's probably your sending unit a very common problem with older Bronco's. Mine was all over the place and only read correctly when it was totally full. Anything below the first 1/8 of a tank and it'd drop to empty or bounce around a bit.
Installed a new sending unit and it works perfectly. No more guessing!!
