91 explorer dumping coolant

I have a 91 explorer that all of a sudden started dumping coolant. It is leaking at the rear drivers side of the engine. Has anyone had this happen before? It is too cold here now to work on it but I am trying to figure out what is causing it, I can see two of the freeze plugs on the drivers side and they look good. I am just trying to eliminate things before I go out and deal with it in the cold.

Thanks,
Anthony

Mine leaked in the same place on my '94. Intake manifold gasket. This is no guarantee this is your problem though.

Before you do anything else, get a pressure tester (they're around $30).

By "dumping coolant", do you mean that you've got a gusher of coolant coming out, or a small but steady leak?

Does this happen all the time, or only when the engine is hot or cold?

It seems to leak only when the engine is hot and it is a gusher, when it is leaking it looks like a hose is off but there aren't any hoses back there. I guess I will have to wait till the cold weather breaks and take a good look at it. I was hoping it would be simple but, oh well.

Thanks.
