6637 air box ?

6637 air box ?
Going to install 6637 this weekend.....(just showed up today from fleetfilter.) , did anyone ever come up with an air box for the filter..... just curiouse..... A.

i cut a sheet of alluminum to put between the motor and the filter, i test fit it today, and need a little more trimming, but, it runs from the intercooler to the
brake master cylinder, and there is a cut out for the intake tube, it also will sit in a way that it rides the under side of the hood when its closed to keep out the hot air.
probably have it in by the weekend.

I did it on mine, I want to build another one that goes all the way to the front. I built it with some thin metal laying around and sprayed it with some rubberized undercoating. Its a 97 but you get the idea

I've contemplated doing the same for mine, but from everything I've read here in FTE, the about the only time you have any appreciable difference in intake and "under hood" air temps are when you're idling for long periods. Otherwise, there is only about a 2-4°F difference in the air temps.
That said, I've decided to run without the "separator" shield for now, and will focus on what seems to be more productive mods like the CCV, in-tank mods, air intake tube replacement, etc.
One thing I DID do, though, was to make my own filter cover with some custom graphics on it just to show it off more. Final pic is below, and the process is detailed in the link below and in my gallery.
