Hey y'all, I'm lookin' to replace my ratty old bucket seats on my '91 F350 Supercab and could use some suggestions on where to buy replacements, preferably with high backs. Thanks.
I want to keep up with this post. when I get some spending money, I am going to walk a salvage yard and see what I can find. I think I want 40/20/40 though. How do you like buckets?
That's what I plan to do, too. Find some really nice seats from a nice car in the salvage yard and build and air bag suspension for them so they fit. There's a company that makes the air bag suspension seat mount, but they're $330 each. I could build one for a lot less.
hmm new seats huh....that reminds me..i need new seats the bench is covered in concrete dust. you dont huit the seat with ANYTHING if you want to breathe for the next hour

I love high back bucket seats but am not adverse to a 40/20/40 setup as long as the center has a console. The seats I've got now are a mid rise back and came from who knows where. They are red cloth and my interior is Saddle. The recline on the drivers seat stripped out so I bolted it in place.

The seats I have in my 84 are from 93 F150....high back seats reapolstered....look great. The seats, I had in my 86 were a custom high backs with a fold down middle seat....for a GM truck??? looked OK but the F150 high back are much nicer!
i'm not a salesman, just an actor
seriously though I was looking in jcwhitney the other day, they seem kinda pricey though for jc whitney but I think that comparing them to getting a used seat and having it reupolstered by a professional is probably the same price.... the reupolstry kits seem reasonable in jc though and taht's somethign anyone can install, if your cusions are torn up though wouldn't be worth it. maybe see what a few different local auto parts stores can get too. I have a bench seat but have been considering captains seats/center console or even converting the bench seat to fully recline somehow....
dreams of a centurion overhead console w/ a fold down flat screen tv and xbox or ps3!
You can look in my gallery at the gray 86 pics, I have the 40/20/40 seatinit. It is a brand named Seatco, the centr has a fold down console with junk storage, an then under the seat is more storage, and the seats are way comfortable...

Those look good. I tried to Google Seatco with no joy, but it did lead me to this site: http://www.suburbanseats.com/thumbna...2&selectednode=
No prices that I saw, they want to give you a quote. Decent selection and air suspention options for those who are interested.
They do have nice seats but you're right, they are a little pricey. I guess they are in line with other companies though.
They are kinda high on other things too. I looked at their interior door panels and they want over $100 more than LMC wants.
