I finally got around to mounting the F5 switch where I like it. I think it turned out pretty sweet. Would have been nice to sink it in more but just wasn't possible.
I have a few other pics but this is the finished project. A little work with the dremel is all it took.
I too just installed my DP-Tuner . I have the same issue as where and how to install the f-5 switch. I dont care for the connection on the rear of it to much. It really gets in the way of mounting it flat anywhere. i was thinking of gluing 2 strips of plastic on each side to bring it out from the dash some then moving it to someplace that is easly viewable. did you cut the hole for the switch in the truck, or did you remove it first. jeff
Yeah, it can still be removed for the no start. hdman6, I removed the entire switch assembly and did quite a bit of plastic removal. I will upload some more pics shortly.
Mine is directly below that, the cable comes out between the two halves, the light and the dark pieces. My cable is pulled tight to the dash and it holds the switch firmly to the dash. Easily removable or hideable behind the dash in less than 10 seconds.
