We have a 46 1/2 ton with original steering and front suspension. When you turn the steering to the right all the way the arm coming from the steering box hits the drivers side leaf springs. My question is what stops this from happening. Stops in the steering box or mechanical stops on the wheels by the kingpins? We are replacing the kingpins as they are worn, but I'm not sure that is why the arm hits the leaf spring. Any info would be great. Thanks.
There are mechanical stops on the kingpins that contact the spindle. They look like an elongated acorn nut. If yours are missing I may be able to drag out a set.

Thanks for the info. The nuts are installed but the arm still hits the spring. I have new taper pins and nuts with the kingpin set I bought so we'll see if replacing the kingpins help. Otherwise I'm starting to think I may have to much play in the steering box.
