Frame wideth

This is more of a theory then a question. I am curious to know if anyone knows diamentions of the frame rails on a 97-03 truck. I know I could go out in my driveway and measure it but I had shoulder surgery 2 days ago and can't fit with the sling and bandages. Not to mention that vicodine only takes the edge off so rolling on it is not part of the healing process. On the 61-66 forum I asked if anyone had thought about grafting a 97 and newer front end on since the Mustang II sysytem wasn't designed with 4000 lbs in mind. The question has been coming up though on what else to use. The newer frame rails reminded me of a 76 Lincoln I pulled the engine and trans out of for my 64 f100. And since I have seen the Lincoln front clips grafted on the thought occured to me. So if someone has the info or feels they can measure them for me it would be great. I am looking for the wideth and height of the frame right about where the engine and transmission bolt together. I already think the frame will be several inches longer then the other one. But that is where fabrication comes in. Thanks guys.

Sorry about the shoulder.
Are you talking 2wd or 4x4?

Sorry about that. I even took the time read through the "read first" thread. Mainly the 2 wheel drive trucks. The 4x4 guys are pretty much happy with their setups as far as I know.
