another police chase
I know this topic isnt new but today in a near by town a woman and unborn child were killed when a guy trying to get away from the cops hit her car. He was unhurt.Cops said they werent chasing him only "pacing behind him" what does that mean?

There are some cities that can only chase people 20 mph over the speed limit. It was on the show "cops". This is probably something similar. The innocent are always the ones that get hurt or die. Hopefully justice will prevail.

I'm sure you heard that last caller at about 1100 yesterday on the Keith Larson show who saw the cop and the ne'er-do-well just before the accident.....He blew away the questions about possible police malfeance by descibing the driver's actions, the fact that the speed limit appears to have been complied with, the fact that the driver had a big fat smile on his face, the fact that the driver looked drunk, the fact that the driver crossed the center line and almost struck the caller head-on.....(the caller found out later about the actual collision and the death of the woman and her unborn child....he called the police department after this)......
Took the wind out of Larson's sails and that segment ended real quick (after all, what more could he say?)...
And I know, farelane, that you'll be interested to know that the arrested driver is a Hispanic male with a Mexican ID (knowledge of his legal or illegal status is still pending).......
