broken shifter !
My truck is a 92 f350 7.3 .I tried to force my floor shifter for 4 wheel and broke it. the pivit bolt was stuck. I cant find one at the junk yard and the dealer wants 260.00 new.Has anyone done a better fix other than stock replacment?

It's made out of aluminum and you can have it tig welded by a good welder. I broke mine and he did it for $20. Just take it all apart and bring him only the housing. I added a couple grease zerks to prevent the problem from reoccurring.
