Cam Selection and mass air conversion

I have 2 questions to ask. First, I think I may have gotten some bad info from my machine shop and would like others advice. I have a 1990 bronco with a 351w. I rebuilt the engine and machined the block. They advised me to go back to stock due to my computer. Given others advice as well, I told them to give me a cam that is close to stock. This is where I am confused. They gave me a comp cam with 204/214 duration at .050 lift. Given my experience with other engines, this sounded about right. I finally came across the stock cam specs and they say that a stock cam has 206/221 duration at .050 lift. This sounds a little radical to me for a stock cam, but it seems that my engine is under powered, especially after being freshly rebuilt. The engine runs fine at slower speeds, but cruising on the express way is horrible. 60-65 no problem. 70-75 MPH is fine on flat ground but the tranny has to kick down to climb mild grades at these speeds and then struggles. I would think a 351 should not have a problem maintaining these speeds. Do you think the cam could cause the power loss, or is this just normal for this engine. Also, I have heard converting to mass air would increase HP about 15 points. Is this true or is it even worth the effort. If it is worth it, where is the best place to get a conversion kit for it. Thanks in advance for any info you can give me.
