Question rear driveshaft

i have looked and searched for a rear driveshaft for a 01 x 4x4 psd found plenty of v10enr's scrap yards say they will not interchange! can anybody help! i am setting up for a gearvendor installed and i rather have a mockup shaft before chopping my original shaft. this is probably(spl) a no brain to some but i am thinking i should cure the front spring **** that the x's have before the driveline mod. anybody agree or not need input?

Hmmm...guess I didn't realize driveshafts were different between engines.

If all you're doing is adding a O/U drive then the front springs don't need to to change. Although...there is a bit more weight goin' on the truck. New springs up front certainly wouldn't hurt. If you got a line on some, then might as well slap 'em on.

Smile driveshaft info

according to the parts house the x psd 4x4 had two different yoke sizes 4" & 4.5" depending on the vin and where it was built the born on date will not help tell the difference between the two! i had to call my bud @ ford and cross vin to ford j-joint# to aftermrkt to find yoke size. i have the big one 4.5" yoke. we really don't have any good 4 wheel drive shops in my area. we have some good driveline shops but i don't see many 4x4 in and out! mostly heavy truck and farm equipment and industrial!
