Ending a losing battle

After going through several battles where my corner/turn signal lenses lose versus garbage cans and other muck typically found in the alleys I am commonly required to take my truck through (one of those square peg - round hole issues, if you will), I'm looking to escalate things by adding a brush guard to the front end to protect my lights (and distribute some payback..Muahahaha!...just kidding...sorta). I figure I'll end up breaking even on several more lens covers vs. buying the guard, but spend less time replacing things.

I was about ready to order a set from Cableas: here
and I've heard good things about GO Industries guards: here ,but the price seems a bit steep for my purposes. Same for Ranch Hand products (are they really that much more durable?).

On a whim I came across an offering from Popular Link, who I've never heard of, but like the price: Here
They seem to have favorable feedback, but that's no way to evaluate the long term viability of the product.

Might anyone here have one of their (Popular Link's) products? Other suggestions are invited. I'm not looking to play dress-up with my truck, just add a functional piece of hardware to the front end. Powder coat vs. chrome makes no difference to me, but I'd prefer to pocket the difference and go with powder coat assuming all other things are equal between the two.

I have the chrome Go Rhino 3000 Series Step Guard. I really like it, you can keep your factory tow hooks, it doesn't get in the way of the fog lights, and theres a step right in the middle that you can get on to get into the engine compartment. This is handy for me since I have the FX4 and can't quite reach everything from the ground. Also, if you decide to put on a little extra lighting, there are two holes pre drilled to put Daylighters or whatever you choose. I think I paid around 500.00 for mine. Not sure if any of that applies to you, but thats what I have, and I really like it.

Didn't think about potentially losing the front tow hooks. Is that an issue with some guards?

I believe it is with some, although I am not sure which ones. I made sure I didn't lose them with my brush guard before I bought it.
