I have a 2003 Superduty Lariat that has the Arizona Beige lower accent color. I have checked all the local stores and the Dupli-Color website, and apparently noone offers a spray can in this color. What has anyone else used?Have any of you used a spray can of paint that comes close, or a paint that is named something different but still matches? I don't need an exact match because I am going to paint some accessories that won't be mounted near the existing paint, but I do need to get fairly close in color.
My local automotive paint store (happens to be a DuPont store) will mix up spray cans of any color. It's about $7-10 or so, but you get a good amount. I've used it experimenting with a color instead of committing to a whole quart. Works and goes on great. Might be worth a try if you can't find any premade.
Thanks, Jay. I will give that a try. I have always installed bug shields on my trucks, and get them clear and paint them body color. My current truck is white with the Az Bge bottom, and thought it would look nice having the bug shield Az Bge as well.
Again, thanks for the info. I didn't know they could do that.
Dupi-Color does have Arizona Beige; you have to look under Dupli-color for "truck, Van & suv" that comes in the 11oz spray can. It's T500 Arizona Beige.
My 03 Expy is Arizona Beige, I used the the above mentioned spray cans to do my rear wing and the paint matched perfectly.
here some pics
Here is the spray can paint.
Here is the wing that was painted with the spray can paint.
AF,
How long ago did you do that. I just checked the Dupli-color website and they claim they only offer it in the little shaker bottle with the brush. I know I bought some back in 2002 for my Excursion, but I haven't found any since.

Like Jay said, most of your local paint shops can make the spray can for you. I have had some made up for the exact same reason as you are looking. I have also had cans made for painting the interior pieces the factory gray color. They have always been spot on.
enduringexplorer,
I just finished having my rear pads replaced on my Expy at the local Pep Boys, I checked if they had T500 Arizona beige and sure enough they had a full shelf.
Hope this helps in your search.
