Overdrive
I have a 1990 bronco XLT 302 and the overdrive seems to surge sometimes otherwise the bronco runs great. Fluid in trany is ok, What could the problem be. only does this when its in overdrive. Thanks mike

I've got an 89 EB with 302 and AOD as well. When shifting into overdrive, mine used to shudder pretty bad. Bad enough that I would have to totally let off the gas and drop back down a gear and do it again. I drained about a quart of the fluid and added a quart of Lucas Transmission Fix and have not had one problem since then and that was probably 10,000 miles ago. I also read a post from someone and they said that they add it 50 / 50 with their ATF.
