Newbie in SC
It's a North Carolina truck per the inspection stickers and previous owners have removed the cats and put duals on with a pair of glass packs. Passenger side exhaust is rotted off about 3 feet in from the rear bumper so a new exhaust is on the to-do list. Tires are 255-70/15 on Pacer mag/chrome wheels. The truck has a good look to it from these filling the wheel wells so nicely but two of the tires are out-of- round badly and are going to have to be replaced soon.
Yesterday afternoon I put new front shocks (sens-a-trac) on and new outer wheel bearings along with new pads. Rear brakes are good yet but new shocks back there will be coming soon too.
Interior is clean, the dash bezel is cracked at the top and i'm watching 3 of them on e-bay now for a replacement. Bench seat with the dual cup-holders in the front. I'll be looking to convert that to buckets and console as time goes on. Any ideas there would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry to rattle on like this. I'm one of those backyard mechanics that can do "some" things and has good professionals to handle the tougher tasks. I do enjoy fooling around with cars/trucks ( I have a 91 S15 Jimmy with a 305 in it that will be sold now to make room for the Flareside).
The wife only allows one toy in the drive at a time...lol.
Ok......That's a little about me and my new truck-toy. Bear with me when i ask all the dumb questions and anytime I see one I can answer....I'll put my $.02 in. It's always great to be part of one of these forums and get opinions and ideas you might not think about on your own.
Thanks in advance for all the answers and advice!!
