Spring help please

i have a couple of questions. first a need to replace my front and rear springs ( 78 ford 1/2 ton 4x4). Does someone like moog or kyb sell replacement springs Really interested in putting in heavvier springs to hold the extra weight of my snowplow and also increase paylord. Can i use rear springs froma 3/4 ton truck Also i reacentlly swapped in a 351 w after my clevland gave out. The 5.8 came from an old merq marquis car. what i need is know if i can run the stock clutch fan from the marquis or have to keep the solid fan thats in there.

thanx

The 78's came with 351M's not 351C (Cleveland)

so your swap is 351M to 351W

RE : Clutch fans
There are 2 different sizes used on Ford engines
One has a 1/2-5/8" inch hole on the mounting flange
the other is about 3/4".

Spring.
Since they didn't put 460's in 4x4's,. your only choice is a 400 with AC application to get the highest weight bearing spring.

Moog parts are available.

You can build up your spring packs using leaves from several different sets of used springs. Just mix and match to suit your application. A spring shop can also build a set of custom springs and arch all of your springs the same for you in an afternoon.
