lost power
i got a 94 7.3 factory turbo in july with about 150000 on it when i got it it had alot of power but after the six months i had it it seems to be weak and is haveing a little starting problems just wondering if anyone had any ideas for me thanks.

Have you replaced the fuel filter at all since you got it.......drained the water from the filter bowl. Can you hear the turbo whine when stepping on it....... Do you use diesel fuel additives, ie stanadyne, power service, Hayes diesel treat etc......
Does the truck have a pyrometer, that amount of mileage is when IP and injectors are close to the end of their usable lives....... especially if no additives have been used.
Have you been fiddling around on the top of the engine at all, touching the injector return lines can cause air/diesel leaks. Do you have any visible smoke....black or white.

i put a fuel filter on and drained the water, i can hear the turbo but it doesnt sound just right i just got some powerservice treatment for it i will put in in tommarrow. i do not have a pyrometer and yes i have been on top of the engine did valve cover gaskets and checked the glow plugs maintence stuff i do get a little white smoke when the engine is cold and a little black smoke vhen i really get on it

How does your air filter look? My experience with Dump Trucks and Mixers was plugged air filter if it was not the fuel filter. Don't starve that turbo for long they don't like pulling huge vacuum just to run.

With the temps in NY, you should add some fuel treatment tonight.
Working on the glow plugs, you probably disturbed the return lines enough to cause air leaks into the fuel system.
But the temps we have had for the last week could also be all your problems.
