What kind of phone do you have, which network do you belong to, and how do you like it? I have a Motorola Razr on Sasktel. It seems to be the network with the best rural coverage. It will improve when they shut off the analog system later this year. I have always had pretty good luck with Motorolas - we had bag phones, Startacs, V60 (not that great coverage but the best wearing phone - over 250 hours on that one without repair and its still nice and tight), 730, and now Razr. My brother has a Moto 815 - it it the only phone stronger than my Razr, but it has to have the antenna pulled out to be better. We usually get the newest stuff from Prairie Mobile to test as we farm in some areas where coverage isnt that great - they give us some stuff to try for a few days and we give them some feedback. For spring, we will get 3 or 4 of those newer Sanyo 10-4 phones. Hopefully cut down on the bills a bit. The Sanyo 7500 is much stronger than the 2300, both as a phone and a 10-4. They have a new Sanyo (I think its a 2400) - quite similar to the 7500 but with no camera. I would never get a phone w/o a camera again. We use it lots in cases of brake downs - I email picture right from phone to my parts guys computer and they get 'er dun. Also cool for capturing those KODAK moments!
OOPS - forgot --> none of the Sanyos are bluetooth compatible - that sucks!!

right now I have an audiovox 8910 (or something like that) on the virgin mobile network. Its pay as you go, cheap with decent coverage, i cant complain.
LG3200 on Telus, pay as you go, real cheap, i have to put $10 a month in, probably dont charge more than $3/month to it. gonna upgrade soon, as soon as i start working. don't know what yet, but would definetly get a camera.
I have a Nokia 3155 and im also on the Virgin Network. Seems to be tough little phone. been rained on dropped i dont know how many times squashed in my pocket working on my trucks lol and still works great and i get good coverage with it out in the boonies too. I think Virgin piggybacks off of Sasktels towers hence the good reception.I used to have sasktels pay as you go but it was only good in sask and wouldnt work in any other province. But i guess they do now.Another thing you couldnt do with sasktel is top up your account over the phone while you can with Virgin. You just have to pre register your Credit card with them.
Its a pain in the butt chasing down phone cards when you get low on time.
The wife just a got a new Nokia 2855i with Bluetooth. I have a Samsung A740 with a camera, both on SaskTel. The camera is pretty brutal, but it has come in handy in blackmail type situations!!!
What's this about SaskTel dropping the Analog network? Does that mean my old man will actually have to get a new phone, he still has one of the original giant Motorola's
I have one but have never seen it, the wife has it all the time as she has to commut to work and she just likes talking on the phone. We are on Sasktel and have no complaints.
Mine is a little outdated by a couple of years but sure was pricey back a few years ago my bro ended up paying like 500-600 i think or somerthing like that its a samsung camera phone and the screen swivels on sasktel pay as you go good enough for me

my neighbour still has one of the big grey bricks........that thing will get good reception ANYWHERE. alll those old phones work wonderfully compared to these little ones, they are probably growing tumours the size of grapefruits in your head, but at least you've got good reception!
