Boost leak detector

Anybody have a parts list and where I can buy the parts to make a boost leak detector. I am cheap I guess as I do not want to pay 70.00 bucks for one when I can easily make one. Hoping someone has the parts list and where to buy to save me time and trial. Thanks

I was going to make one when i got some time cause it shouldn't cost much and would be handy to have. It looks like a boot tube with a piece of metal clamped in the end drilled and taped for an air fitting. I remember seeing a link on here a while ago for cheap replacement boots from a company? You could also use a boot and some pvc parts instead of metal, might be easier to work with.

I have a 4inch turbo intake. Boost tube will not work. Cookie made a nice one that'll work. Sent him a pm but I think he is kinda busy right now

There was a link to a site on here a while ago that had all sizes of tube for real cheap. I don't remember it right now

Lemme know.

I was thinking 4in rubber tubing with a pvc cap drilled and tapped and a couple hose clamps and an air chuck fitting. 20.00 tops????

i am very interested in checking for boost leaks too, since my boost gauge bounces at higher RPM. to check for leaks do you pull the intake cooler hose off and attach the boost leak dectetor and pressurize it w/ compressed air?

Attach it to the turbo intake. For a stock turbo you will need a 3"coupler, for an aftermarket with a 4" intake you need the reducer.

It is indeed a sewer reducer, and they do make them in rubber. As a former Lowe's Pluming Department Manager, I got very familiar with the inventory.
