Anybody have a parts list and where I can buy the parts to make a boost leak detector. I am cheap I guess as I do not want to pay 70.00 bucks for one when I can easily make one. Hoping someone has the parts list and where to buy to save me time and trial. Thanks
I was going to make one when i got some time cause it shouldn't cost much and would be handy to have. It looks like a boot tube with a piece of metal clamped in the end drilled and taped for an air fitting. I remember seeing a link on here a while ago for cheap replacement boots from a company? You could also use a boot and some pvc parts instead of metal, might be easier to work with.
i am very interested in checking for boost leaks too, since my boost gauge bounces at higher RPM. to check for leaks do you pull the intake cooler hose off and attach the boost leak dectetor and pressurize it w/ compressed air?
