running lines through firewall

I need to run lines through the firewall on my 1992 F350for my egt, trans temp and backup lights. Where do you guys run your lines.

Most trucks I've found some boot to run them through, I simply don't see any other option other than drilling.

I drilled a 1-3/8" hole below and to the passengers side of where the throttle cable goes through. I just need to find some putty to seal it up.

On my 86 there is an oval boot to the right of the throttle cable I used for my oil line and water temp gauge and a bunch of wiring. My pyrometer and boost gauge are pillar mounted, so I put those through a boot over closer to the pillar.

I run my wires through a rectangular hole in the firewall on the extreme left hand side in front of the parking brake. It had a rubber plug which I holed out to act as a grommet. This is on a '91 F350.
