Turbo Disassembly ?'s
Since i have finally fixed my problems
, i want to learn a bit about these turbos. I got my e99 sitting on the bench with the intake housing/backplate off, now i need to somehow unbolt the exhaust housing, but i cannot get anything in there to get to the bolts. It seems like nothing fits! What did u guys do to get that housing off?

Use a 5/16 or 8mm 12 point socket and 1/4" extension, to get in the holes that are opposite of the bolts when you remove the compressor backplate. take a look through this gallery and look at the turbo disassembly pics and see if you still have questions...
