just curious

Ok I'm never going to do this but do you think I shoulda made my 51 into a half ton. Obviously I elected to stick with the 3 ton style but some times I think it woulda been cooler to do something like making it smaller.

Nope, at least not yet. There`s alot more half tons around the there is bigger ones. First have fun with it the way it is and take some time to decide which way you want to go.

If you ever change your mind, I got a rolling 51 M-3 chassis with F-1 running gear.

I was more meaning a '51 M-3 frame with F-1 front axle, springs and rear axle. The SK51 engine and tranny would bolt right in my frame.

Hey, don`t worry about me, I`m full of ideas.
Last nite I noticed an ad for 53 F100 that sounded decent for $2,400 but found out it`s been sold so I may speed things up by putting my 56 M100 back on it`s orginal unmolested frame for this summer. I have the orginal complete frame/running gear safely stored away ready for a body.
We`ll see, a good nite`s sleep may change my mind but rite now this idea seems to be the quickest way to get the 56 back on the road.

I like the smaller trucks personally. Driving a 3 ton around just isnt the same as driving a 1/2 ton around, IMO.

I wonder if the frame is long enough to make a ramp truck out of it?
It would be a ton of work and material but it would be great to have.
