Got Lucky
Just wanted to say hi and get a question answered. I have an 01 350 7.3 and had someone change the oil and they must have done something wrong. I laid an oil slick from Tampa to Ocala until I ran out of oil. I had it towed back and looked at by another mechanic. He said that the o-ring blew out of the oil pump and blew a few of the oil line seals. He said they must have used the wrong oil and put Shell Rotella in. He replaced all the seals and everything seems to be fine. Does anyone have any ideas on any short or long term problems that may occur and any preventitive measures I can take to prevent any problems? It has 180k on it.

Well that is terrible to hear i would most likely get them to cover repair expenses since its there screw up if there is any if they dont well i would be doing something about it thats for sure good luck....
