4x4 Trouble

Last night I took my truck out to test the four wheel drive in the snow and it didnt work. I moved the lever down into 4 low and only my rear wheels spun. I tried it in 4 high and the same thing happened. After moving the transfer case shifter through all its positions several times it finally engaged into 4 low. The truch has a Borg Warner 1356 transfer case and warn manual hubs. Any ideas as to why it is doing this?

Is this a new truck? Did you have your hubs turned to lock? Is there a front driveshaft connected?

I bought the truck about a year ago and the problem just came up. Yes, both of the hubs were locked and the front driveshaft is connected.

How is the oil level and quality of it in the transfer case?

I just checked the oil, looks good and the level is also fine.
