Have a problem with my 2003 6.0 very cold -20 for the last few nights yesterday truck wouldn't start after jumping several times and leaving plugged in for 6 hours finally got it started and let it run for about 8 hours drove it this morning idles fine but has no power will drive fine as long as its under 20mph putting the pedal to the floor kills it starts again but problem continued barely got it back to my house checked the codes here is what I got could anyone help me as to what the heck is going on with the motor??? forgot to say also using SCMT 1704a in economy mode
0269 cly 3 contribution/balance fault
P2623 injector control pressure regulator circuit open
When you say you let it run for 8 hours, do you mean you let it idle for 8 hours, or that you drove it around for 8 hours??? If its still cold outside, Id say you have a gelled fuel filter. I had that problem a few weeks ago with the no power thing.
Edit: Don't know about the codes. You can look in the tech folder...
i bet your egr valve is scary!! not to mention what your oil looks like. do not let the 6.0 idle for that long, as it destroys your pocket as well as the truck in some form.
Thanks guys for the help it was gelled fuel filters. Power service 911 and finally able to get into a warm garage for a while seemed to have solved the problems took it on a 90 mile workout ran like a champ!!!
