What gives?

The dealers in my area claim they cant get an 08 SD yet. So i try to grow a brain and go to Ford.com and you cant order one yet. They let you build an 07 but when I go to get it shipped they put me in contact with my dealer. Which then tells me he cant get an 07 built but might be able to get one from another dealer.
Heres the problem. My sister want a SD. We went to the dealer he says no more 07s. So i tell the saleman that me and my wife has bought 8 vichels {which 6 where trucks} from in the last 10 years that as soon as he gets an 08 i want a test drive. I have a great record at not wasting his time. So i read how all these folks are test driving 08s i call him up to see whats going on he tells me they are still not avaible
Are they out or not? If not anybody know when?

If you browse through the following thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...ng-news-4.html
you will see that they are slowly becoming available. It will be well worth the wait, hang in there

I live in eastern PA and the dealer where I bought my truck has two 08's on the lot that just came in the other day. F350 cc psd 4x4 king ranch looks awesome, $52000 a little steep for me. Other local dealers are getting in slowly also.

Its just my opinion, but, I think because of the requirement of ulsd, the delay is because they are waiting for this fuel to be all over the us. The places that have them, have had ulsd for some time. The east coast usually are the first to get it (after California)

The 08's are starting to arrive at dealers as I type this. According to MSN auto there have been OVER 50,000 ORDERS PLACES ALREADY FOR THE 08 SUPER DUTY. This is almost twice as many as Ford exspected by this time. (: I went to our local Ford dealer friday morning. HE only has 4 07's left. He usually keeps 20 to 30 super duties on the lot. I ask why so few 07's. He told me the 08's are headed his way and will get here this week. He oridinally ordered 11 for on the lot but HE got so many sold orders already HE put in for 20 more super duties. Where my son lives there are two 08's on the lot NOW. We took a road trip this weekend and I stopped at another Ford dealer who is famous for selling lots of heavy duty Fords to loggers in the state. HE DIDN'T HAVE ANY SUPER DUTIES ON THE LOT. NONE ,,,ZERO?? So I ask....HE is sold out of 07's and didnt want to get any more because of the interest in the 08's. HE also told me HIS 08's would be here THIS WEEK. Looks like it about time to see em everywhere.

IMO,Texas & Oklahoma will likely get the biggest early distribution due to higher National % of SuperDuty Diesel sales.

Just took my truck in to the dealer and they had 3 08 Diesels on the lot. All around 50k. I will try and drive one when I go to pick up my truck. It's Gentellini Ford in Woodbine in beautiful southern NJ

Cheers,
Neil

That new 6.4L is a beast, super quite and strong. No lag at all. Just have to convinces the misses that I need a $50,000 truck
