limited slip differential

hey all
was wondering if any one could tell me if a limited slip diff. works only in foward gears or if it will work in reverse also.

limited slip differential

They work all the time. It's like having a brake inside the diff that tries to keep the 2 axleshafts spinning at the same speed. Go here & scroll down to the "Diffinitions" post - there are several informative links:
