Ok, I spent a fair amount of time, and a lot of pages searching on a dial-up system and came up with zilch. I've seen it a year or so ago. I took the two bolts out of the bracket and the box seems to slide out about a 1/2" then stops.
Someone had instructions for removing the computer. I need to find out if I have a chip or not. Another question, can you pass emissions with a tune or do you need to go back to the stock tune (which I don't seem to have)?
There's another bolt under the hood below the brake master cylinder that holds the wiring harness connector to the PCM. Without that bolt out and the wiring harness connector disconnected, the computer will not slide out.
read the instruction i poted above..it will tell you just how to do it..no you do not need to un hook them..just take the key out..how ever when i did my chip i un hooked them..
