rear window
has anyone else experienced any problem with the rear window. It rained here at my house the other day and i noticed some slight leackage and at high speeds i can also hear some wind creeping through

Lilgoat has a 2006. He may just have issues with the sliding rear window. Just like with any window in the house, those things have to be prone to leaking air/water. It's just a matter of time IMO. For that reason (and $), I'll never have one unless forced upon me. 
Lilgoat ... you're hopefully still under warranty ... take it to the dealership and have it checked out.

Gordo is right. It may very well be the rear slider. I have one. I have no clue why. I never open it. And it leaks. Not a lot, but just enough to be noticable.
Mine is also the power slider. I have no reason why. Like I am to lazy to turn around and open my window, that to date, I have never openend? The nice thing about the power slider is, that it rattles. Nice Ford touch, don't ya think. Especially in a $38,000 truck! Oh well I am about to get some of the strangest looks in the world from my stealership. I am going in day after tomorrow, and demanding they change out my slider for a solid piece of glass. And I want the power slider button gone also! I have had it in three times and they can't fix it. So now they pay the piper. Hell, it is hard to see out of the power slider anyway.

My rear slider leaked and they replaced it under warranty. It still leaked and then the brakelight got replaced also. Now no leak.
I have the grey interior that stains so easily. I had them clean the seat also. Both times.

And what is that black strap hanging out of the trim right below the slider on my '05 F150? I;ve pulled on it, but nothing happens, maybe a harder tug?

Leaking window
I had a similar issue with my previous truck. I had a '97 F-150 Extended cab with the factory slider and it leaked around 15K. I went around and around with the dealer for a couple of weeks and finally got it replaced. It leaked everytime I washed the truck or it rained hard. A year or so later it did it again. Dealer hemmed and hawed again, but replaced the window. After the second rear window leaked around 36K, I had had enough. I insisted that a solid window was to be put in. They claimed that they had to replace with the same item for the warranty to be valid. They also finally admitted to having a Mastic (sealer) problem and that fix finally took care of it. I made the dealer steam clean the interior twice due to the musty odor and I tried to have the entire interior replaced to no avail. These leaks got the headliner, rear seat and the carpet over time.
I got the Regional Service guy involved after the second window leaked and he was helpful to a point. I would be persistent with the dealer though.

sorry it took a while to get back, yup i got an 06 and it's the solid rear window, not the slidding one. Hopefully i can get to the dealer sometime this week so they can check it out, thanks for all the tips.
