Swapping Carbs. Will it fit?

So I was talking to my friend tonight at work. He's got a '74 Duster with a 318. Somehow we got to carbs and I told him that my 351 H.O. has the Holly 4bbl 600CFM. He said he's got a Carter I think it was, Polished and Ported 725CFM 4bbl. He sugguested that me and him trade and if it doesn't work out, switch back.
But would that carb fit on my 351? And if so, how much more power would it give me?

Swapping Carbs. Will it fit?

I would have to say there is a good chance it might fit. If they are both square bore carbs they are interchangable. What makes you want to change the carb? Does your bronco not use enough gas as it is??? Going to a bigger carb might get you 5-10 hp, but at what cost. Your motor can only move so much air, if you put a 1050 double pumper on it, it would still only move so much air. The biggest mistake people make is overcarbueratering an engine. I would say look for other areas to gain a little HP. Timing, exhaust, gears...

Just my 2 cents.
