By Pass Cats

i got a 01 f150 sc 5.4 4x4 that has straight pipes passed the cats, could i get rid of two of them because it has 4 not worried about emiss., just deeper tone and maybe squeeze a little power from it and if i can do this with of course my truck running great with two of them gone, and if so which ones front or back and what would be needed if anything thanks

You have to look out for the oxygen sensors. If you have any after the cats, then it will mess with the engine computer and give you a error code.

If you need to get rid of 2 of them...take off the rear two. They are the actual cat converters. The front two are pre-cats, and not very restrictive as far a flow and sound.

If you do not do anything with the O2 sensors...your truck will throw a code. Go to http://www.o2sensorsimulator.com/ and pick up a set of simulators. They will fool the computer into thinking the cats are there and working properly.
