I just recently found this great forum. I'm in FL and have a 85 F150/4x4 with the fuel injected 302/auto. I just recently ordered a 6inch lift and 35's hope to post some before and after pics in the next couple of weeks.
Hi - - I'm another newbie. I have a 2000 F250 4X4 diesel that I use for pulling a 33 foot trailer. I have installed a mild Banks Kit and exhaust break to help with towing the approximately 12,000 lb trailer. The truck has performed well over the 6 plus years and over just over 60,000 miles.
I'm trying to figure out how to fix the Power Door Locks. While the truck was under warranty, I had both door lock actuators. Now that it is out of warranty, I want to save some money for what appears to be a simple job to at least remove and replace the PDL. But I can't figure out how to get the door panel off without breaking something. From other web articles, it looks like I should start by popping off the panel that holds the electric window and door lock switches. As soon as it gets a bit warmer I am going try prying up the panel.
You will want to post your question in the tech forums since this one is used for introductions. You can click on the Forums tab at the upper left or you can try this link: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum30/
There is a thread about the power door locks in it.
