Question sending unit

Hello evreyone I am wondering how I can tell if my sending unit on my 1994 F-350 has been changed or not I really don't want a fire also how can I tell what 7.3 leter I have thank you for your helo. Rick

First what sending unit are ya talking about?? Second look at the 8th digit in you VIN.
"F" is the 7.3 powerstroke
"K" is the 7.3 IDI turbo
"M" is the IDI non turbo
That will let ya know what engine you have.

The sending unit at he end of my master cylinder that has some wire coming out of it

I dont think it'll catch fire....If your talking about the problems with cruise contol fires....it only applies to 150's.

Not true.It is more than the 150's according to the dealer I took mine to. We have the same sensor,there was just no recall on them. My cruise didn't work so I took it in to see if there was a recall. My sensor had brake fluid coming up through it.VERY BAD. You will know if it's been replaced because there is a (jumper) wiring harness off the sensor to the original wire.I believe it has a fusible link in it.If you're still not sure you can buy the upgrade, it's only like $22 bucks.Hope this helps.
