O.K. Another question for you guys. I'm still in a big debate on what to do but I think I've narrowed it down a bit. For now, untill I become a bit more mechanically inclined I think I'm going to just do a 2" body lift on my baby so I can see how it will look a little taller. Saves a bit of money incase i don't like it. Maybe next year I will get into the fun stuff. Can anyone tell me if 35" tires are a wrong way to go with the 2" body lift? Is there a matrix I can see online anywhere that will explain to me what the best tire size will be? I am deffinitley going bigger on tires, I just dont know how far to go. If I do like the hieght I will probably end up with the 4" susp. lift and 35" tires. Thats why Im asking about that size.
Thanks to all!
Jess
I don't think you can fit 35" tires on a 2" body lift. Putting 35's on a 4" suspension lift stuffs the wheel wells pretty well...too well in my opinion. I like having room in the wheel wells for flex and whatnot, and 33's on a 4" lift are great, look good too. The way I see it, you should chose your tire first, and fit the truck to do that. After all, the whole purpose of a lift is to accomodate bigger tires for more clearnace. Tires make the truck, as far as off-roading is concerned. If you're dead set on 35's, then go ahead and do what you need to do to fit 35's. A 2" body and 4" suspension lift will easily clear 35s...but I would suggest just going with a 6" suspension lift (the difference in price between a 4" lift and a 6" lift is relatively insignificant. I wish I had gone with 6" inches, actually.) And don't worry, your bronco will look better lifted. I promise.
Thanks for the replies, I guess i was being to lazy when I made this Post. When I was finished I hopped on line and did some research and found my somewhat answers. Sorry.
It looks like I will have to go with a 3" body lift in order to have the 35" tires, only a few adjustments with a 3" body lift. My thinking is this: with the 35" tires and a 2-now 3" body lift. I can see what it will look like before I invest so much money on the susp. lift. I actually lost sleep over what to do last night, my wife just laughs at me.
Besides, I am too impatient I suppose, and I dont have the money yet for a susp. lift.
aaahhhhh, well I guess I will put things off awhile. I do appreciate everyones input.
Thanks again,
Jess
